Holidaymakers will book cheap flights to Turkey and Greece through Jet2.com for a bumper summer holiday next year, if officials get their way.
The countries have worked together on a project to encourage travellers to enjoy a break that incorporates a week in each nation in 2010, Hurriyet Daily News reported.
Chairman of the Turkish-Greek chamber of trade Panagiotis Koutsikos said the initiative has been in the pipeline for four years.
The news provider quoted him as saying: "If tourists stay a week in Turkey and a week in Greece under the same program, this could boost tourism in both countries."
Earlier this month, Altinkum Voices reported that the government in Turkey is looking to widen the appeal of the destination.
It claimed new hotels, roads, marinas and golf courses are top of the agenda for local officials, adding the nation's culture and tourism minister Ertugrul Gunay wants to attract 30 million visitors to the country next year.
