Revellers should book cheap flights to Barcelona to see in 2010, if one column is anything to go by.

According to the Metro, the Spanish destination is a great place to enjoy New Year's Eve, due to its abundance of trendy nightspots.

It said the city is the "epicentre of counter-culture cool", recommending Bar Tomas as a good place to start the celebrations on December 31st.

This restaurant is "famed throughout Barca" for its tasty tapas and patatas bravas, the article claimed.

Multiuse arts space WIP, meanwhile, could be the perfect venue to get on your dancing shoes as the clock strikes midnight.

The venue is holding an end of the decade party this year, which will see the likes of Sammy Dee, Kolektiv and Mr Statik wowing the crowds with their skills on the wheels of steel.

Meanwhile, revellers who book cheap flights to Barcelona next year could catch a gig by singer Joss Stone.

The star is performing at the Palau de la Musica venue on February 11th 2010.
