Travellers 'choosing to book cheap flights to Turkey rather than Spain'

UK holidaymakers are choosing to book cheap flights to Turkey rather than Spain or Italy, if one tourism expert is to be believed.
Gokhan Yilmazer from Dalyan hotel firm Club Alla Turca explained travellers are being attracted to his country by the weak performance of the euro compared to the Turkish Lira.
He explained the nation is attracting more and more sun-seekers each year, who come for the cheap amenities and quality service.
"This year [tourism] increased by 22 per cent and now we are predicting a further increase," Mr Yilmazer remarked.
Meanwhile, earlier this month comparison service trivago ranked the 50 most popular beach destinations on the continent.
Belek on the Turkish Riviera, which is popular with golfers, was found to have a good online reputation, with an average of 80.31 out of 100 points.
