Travellers who book cheap flights to Rome through Jet2.com should visit a new museum, if one official's words are anything to go by.
According to the Italian State Tourist Board for the UK and Ireland, the Maxxi attraction will be an important cultural centre when it opens next year.
Official Stefania Gatta also said culture vultures will find there is a "full calendar" of events planned for 2010, adding opera and music will form part of the celebrations.
She also implied UK holidaymakers will continue to book cheap flights to Rome in the coming months, commenting: "The British market is very important. British people really are one of the most loyal customers for Italy."
Ms Gatta added taking a two-week sunshine break in the country is perennially popular with tourists, explaining travellers are attracted by opera events or wine-tasting opportunities.
Meanwhile, those who book cheap flights to Milan next year could make the short trip to nearby Brescia to visit an exhibition on the Inca Tribes.
It is being held at the Santa Giulia museum until June 27th 2010.
