Culture fans should book cheap flights to Spain, if one article is anything to go by.

The Guardian has listed some of the top events taking place overseas this year – - and highlighted the Festival of the Virgin of La Alharilla in Andalucia.

Held in the small town of Porcuna on May 9th 2010, the attraction is great for those who enjoy singing, dancing and eating.

It commemorates the Virgin Mary and includes a pilgrimage to a local olive field.

According to the column, the destination is known for having the country's smallest bar and interesting architecture – including a house made entirely out of stone.

It said: "An atmosphere both vibrant and magical ensues."

The piece added Porcuna is a great alternative to the more popular Seville, which is located nearby.

Meanwhile, music fans may wish to book cheap flights to Spain to enjoy the Festival Internacional de Benicassim, which is set to take place between July 15th and 18th 2010.
