Families looking for a summer getaway should book cheap flights to Paphos through Jet2.com, if one correspondent's experiences are anything to go by.

Times columnist Fiona Quiton took her nine-year-old son Finlay and five-year-old daughter Maud on a sojourn to Cyprus, staying in a small village just outside Paphos.

The children dived straight in to some of the island's fun activities, including swimming, table tennis and having their hair braided.
Maud enjoyed joining a kids' club while on the break, especially constructing a gift box and taking part in painting.

Her brother cited the evening entertainment as his most memorable aspect, Ms Quinton said.

"Finlay is an enthusiastic swimmer and loved the two outdoor and one indoor pools," she remarked, adding: "My favourite part of the holiday was that everything was so convenient and within easy reach."

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail has previously suggested Paphos could be perfect for sightseeing and highlighted the Tombs of the Kings as an attraction that should not be missed.
