An expert's comments about camping in France could lead to a surge in people booking cheap flights to Toulouse.
Editor of monthly publication FRANCE magazine Carolyn Boyd revealed many parents are returning to the holidays of their youth, taking their family for a budget break in the Gallic nation.
She said camping and mobile home breaks have been growing in popularity in recent years.
The journalist noted many travellers have been choosing "different types of holidays" recently.
Explaining the draw of a camping holiday, she said: "You can spend your days doing free activities on the beach, walking, rather than paying to go into indoor attractions."
Last year, the Association of Independent Tour Operators suggested France is a budget-friendly destination.
A spokesperson for the body claimed those looking to cut costs could consider a self-catering break.
He explained the nation has long been a traditional summer destination for travellers due to its range of holiday options.
