Travellers who book cheap flights to Sharm El Sheikh through Jet2.com have numerous options for a relaxing holiday, if one correspondent's experiences are anything to go by.
Guardian columnist Benji Lanyado took a trip to Egypt's Sinai peninsular, jetting in to Sharm El Sheikh and taking a transfer to the nearby resort of Basata.
Here he highlighted the quiet and tranquillity, stating days "seem to gently merge into one another".
Much of his trip was spent soaking up the sun and watching local fisherman go about their daily business in the Red Sea.
"As we lie on the beach after breakfast, we have no idea what time it is. Guests sprinkle themselves across the sand, which stretches for half a mile between two headlands," Mr Lanyado said.
He later spoke to local construction engineer Sherif El-Ghamrawy, who revealed Basata is popular with the rich and famous.
The Independent's Sue Wheat has also visited the resort in the past and described it as a beautiful and unspoilt place.
