Culinary aficionados could be inspired to book cheap flights to Venice to follow in the footsteps of Gary Rhodes.
The celebrity chef recently headed to the Italian destination for an "epic tour" of food discovery.
Writing for the Daily Mail, the Masterchef star said he wanted to find out what else the region had to offer aside from pizza and pasta.
He toured places such as Tuscany and Naples, gathering ingredients for a banquet he was throwing at the end of his trip.
Rhodes detailed picking up truffles from a market during his jaunt, which made for a tasty but expensive meal.
"Italy's love of real food was underlined when we reached our last stop in Venice and the Rialto market, where people dragged little trolleys around full of fresh fish and vegetables," he remarked.
Last year, television presenter Emma Forbes told the news provider Venice is her favourite holiday destination, explaining she loves touring the canals.
