Those who book cheap flights to Amsterdam through Jet2.com will have a chance to marvel at its water features, an activity one correspondent has recommended.
Deputy editor of Food and Travel magazine Rachel Truman said the city's canals and waterways are a great way to explore its attractions, including the Anne Frank Museum and Van Gogh Museum.
Writing a column for the Simonseeks holiday reviews site, she recommended visiting Dam Square, where travellers will find the National Monument and Royal Palace.
Other must-see attractions include the Rijksmuseum and its Masterpieces exhibition.
Ms Truman remarked: "A hothouse for emerging artists, advertising creativity, architecture and design, Amsterdam has something for every art lover."
As night falls, travellers have plenty of options for wining and dining – the correspondent recommended tucking in to a meal at the Ciel Bleu or De Kas eatery.
Earlier this month, her fellow Simonseeks contributor Lucy Clapham suggested hiring a bike could be a wonderful way to explore Amsterdam.
