A lonely teddy bear has embarked on the trip of a lifetime for the past three months having been left aboard a Jet2.com flight to Malaga in mid-October. Now, following a desperate plea from the airline, he wants to go home.
Officials at Malaga airport on the Spanish coast have launched an appeal to find teddy’s owners and reunite them. Jet2.com has even weighed in by offering teddy a free VIP return ticket back to the UK when his owner has been located.
It is thought that his owners might be from the Leeds area and Jet2.com along with airport officials have urged teddy’s owner to come forward.
Malaga station manager Richard Cox said: "Teddy has asked me to pass on a message that he is being well looked after but wants to get back to Yorkshire as he does not like all this foreign food.
"He wants real fish and chips and mushy peas and a proper cup of tea.
"He is glad he missed all the snow at home and has enjoyed his long holiday. And even though he has been well cared for by the nice Jet2.com staff in Malaga, he is keen to get back to his real owner.
"I really hope we can find the little girl or boy he belongs to because he has obviously been well-loved and I think they must be really sad without him."
All Jet2.com are asking for to claim the bear is proof that you flew on the LS185 in mid-October.
