Cheap flights to Geneva could be the starting point for a holiday that caters for all the family - skiers and non-skiers alike.
The resort of Saas-Fee can provide a balanced mix of runs for beginners and more experienced skiers, while also catering for those that are not interested in hitting the slopes.
Writing in the Times, Robert Ryan said that while his family were interested in the skiing and snowboarding on offer on the Swiss slopes, the range of other activities available were more appealing to him.
Indeed winter walking proved to fit the bill, giving the writer the opportunity to experience the mountain scenery at a much slower pace than on skis. However, for an adrenaline rush, a trip on a sledge was the order of the day.
But of course, beyond the mountain activity, there are a number of cafes and bars to keep everyone entertained.
But this is not the only resort that may appeal to those looking for a winter holiday. Earlier this month, Telegraph writer Jeremy Skidmore noted that there are a number of good offers for different ski resorts at the moment.
