Travellers who book cheap flights to Turkey can expect to enjoy a holiday that mixes stunning sunny weather with interesting historical sights.
Daily Mail journalist Henry Jones reported on a trip to Olu Deniz, which is found in the south-western corner of the country a short distance from Dalaman airport.
He said the town has an "iconic lagoon" and is a calming and relaxing place to soak up the sun.
"Olu Deniz - hidden from the world by the stony flanks of the Taurus range - is no ordinary Turkish holiday destination. And this is no ordinary area of Turkey," he remarked.
Mr Jones' trip also saw him tour other towns in the region, such as Dalyan, where he marvelled at the Lycian tombs in the hillside.
Fethiye was also afforded a mention for its impressive eateries and amphitheatre.
Tourists should also consider a jaunt to Kayakoy and Kalkan, which are also rich in history, he concluded.
Earlier this month, the Times also underlined how Turkey is a wonderful holiday destination and recommended visiting hidden gems such as Faralya, which is a small fishing village near Olu Deniz.
