Travellers who book cheap flights to Turkey are likely to return to the country again, if one expert is to be believed.
Lonely Planet editor Tom Hall underlined how the nation is proving more and more popular among holidaymakers, explaining that once they have had a taste for its culture, travellers want to explore more parts of the country.
He noted that there is a particular buzz around Middle Eastern destinations this year.
Although Turkey is not in this region, "there's no denying that it has elements of Middle Eastern culture in it", the expert added.
Discussing the appeal of cheap flights to Turkey, Mr Hall remarked: "You can get on a plane and … fly for five or six hours and you can be somewhere that is radically different, really interesting, [with] brilliant history, wonderful people and fantastic food."
The Times recently highlighted some of the resorts which holidaymakers could head to, including Sovalye, which is found in the bay of Fethiye.
Columnist Annabelle Thorpe recommended trying out canoeing and exploring the town's castle.
