It would appear that there is more to enjoy from cheap flights to Lanzarote than just sun, sea and sand. The Canary Island is brewing up quite the reputation as a foodie’s paradise.
An influx of restaurants, particularly ones specialising in fresh fish, have joined the ranks of British pubs and fast food eateries to unlock a wealth of options for holidaymakers arriving on cheap flights to Lanzarote.
In fact one small village, El Golfo on the south-west coast, is made up primarily of restaurants! Excelling in the catch of the day specials, all the family are welcome to pull up to a table and indulge in the plentiful selection of fish dishes.
“The cuisine alone would justify a visit to Lanzarote”
Max Davidson, writing for the Telegraph, effused about his recent visit to the Canary Island and a certain garlic soup: “The cuisine alone would justify a visit to Lanzarote. If the sopa de ajos [garlic soup] is the highlight of our foodie pilgrimage, there are wonderful fish restaurants dotted right around the island.”
The friendly and amiable nature of the locals adds to the occasion and, of course, children are always welcome.
With such a wealth of restaurants to choose from, many families are swapping their burgers for fresh fish specials and traditional Canarian cuisine after arriving on cheap flights to Lanzarote.
