The now famous Ibiza Rocks festival, which corrals a vibrant network of indie, pop and rock artists and bands together, is set to take the show on the road.
Visitors arriving on cheap flights to Majorca from Jet2.com will soon be able to enjoy the festival in the island’s party capital – Magaluf.
The promoter behind Ibiza Rocks, Andy McKay, is planning on opening a Majorca Rocks hotel that will be visited by the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris and the Kooks this year.
“We invaded Ibiza with a guitar and we hope to do the same with Majorca”
In 2005 McKay launched Ibiza Rocks in an attempt to introduce the guitar to the clubber’s paradise and it has been received with open arms. He is hoping for a similar reaction with his new Majorca venture. Speaking to the Independent he said:
“We invaded Ibiza with a guitar and we hope to do the same with Mallorca. As a tourist destination Mallorca is much more representative of UK youth culture than Ibiza which, because it was such a clubbing mecca, was initially quite difficult to break into. It’s a logical step to try and bring the Ibiza Rocks label to Mallorca.”
Visitors arriving on cheap flights to Majorca from Jet2.com for a party-fuelled break in Magaluf could be tempted along to see some of these chart-topping performers in their pomp. It’s not every day that you can enjoy live music from such recognised artists with unrivalled sunshine!
Cheap flights to Majorca currently start from £29.99 with Jet2.com
