The director at the Croatian National Tourist Office, Meri Matesic, has revealed that celebrities are warming to the country because of the secluded exclusivity it affords them. She said:

"It's the natural beauty of the country and its cultural and national heritage [and] to do what they want and just to walk where they want.”

Last week the Croatian Times reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were considering a holiday in Croatia after filming in Venice.
