Jet2.com’s rescue attempts were given a boost this morning when the flights ban was lifted and they wasted no time in getting aircrafts to Alicante, Murcia, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Palma, Nice, Faro, Malaga and Sharm el Sheikh airborne.
Over 50 flights to and from Europe and Egypt are now available to book from Jet2.com. It follows a surge of customers returning to the UK on the coaches provided by Jet2.com over the last couple of days. For six days all aircrafts have been grounded by the volcanic eruption in Iceland but Jet2.com have been working around the clock to return customers home safely and as quickly as possible.
“Bring people home as quickly and safely as possible”
Ian Doubtfire, Managing Director at Jet2.com said: “We urge passengers to go onto the Jet2.com website and start booking their flights as soon as possible.
“Our priority is to bring people home as quickly and safely as possible. The team here at Jet2.com are working around the clock to ensure that our valued passengers receive the excellent service they have come to expect from the North’s favourite airline.”
