Beatles fans could enjoy a trip back in time with cheap flights to Prague after an exhibition opened at the Czech Museum of Music today (4 June 2010). The exhibition will be showcasing all kinds of memorabilia associated with the Fab Four and runs through to early next year.
The city of Prague has always had a close affiliation with the Beatles because of Lennon Wall. After he was killed in 1980 a spontaneous tribute began when people started writing and painting on Mala Strana wall, which is found just around the corner from the Czech Museum of Music.
Fans arriving on cheap flights to Prague this year will now be able to witness this iconic piece of Beatles history as well as the extensive collection of memorabilia in the museum.
Remembering Those Times
The exhibition will track the Beatles’ career and the stand out item in the collection is the life-size waxworks which were originally at Madame Tussauds. Veronika Seidlová, co-curator of the forthcoming "Beatlemania!" exhibition said:
“Our aim with this exhibition is to try to get close to the people who want to remember those times. The Beatles' music gave people the confidence and desire to express their own emotions and desire for peace.”
So for a true piece of Beatles history, cheap flights to Prague from Jet2.com can make this happen.
