For the majority of us, the most convenient and enjoyable way to get to Prague is on cheap flights, however, one Englishman is getting there by swimming 175km to the Czech capital.
Paul Whitaker decided to challenge himself, with this unique test of endurance and stamina that is set to last about 18 days, in October last year and he has been in training ever since.
But whilst he is navigating the Vltava River many others will be arriving in the capital on cheap flights to Prague, equally keen to discover the city’s ancient and romantic charm.

Mr. Whitaker is also hoping to raise money for charity with his extreme challenge but isn’t worried about records.
After he completes this daring feat he will be able to celebrate in style in the Czech capital. The city is blessed with charming restaurants, cafes and bars offering local beers and traditional Czech food and the numerous sites have made it a much loved city by tourists arriving on cheap flights to Prague all year round.
Strolling across Charles Bridge or taking a pew at one of the many street bars and cafes that face the river, is a common activity for visitors and Mr. Whitaker might enjoy this more cosy view point of the river!
