Families planning to hit the slopes for some ski and snowboarding fun this winter should take care to pre-plan all aspects of the trip before they set off in order to reduce potential stress, it has been noted.
Shannon Luthy, the family editor of OnTheSnow.com, said that one tip may be by booking transportation to and from the airport which could leave mums and dads time to relax and spend with their kids.
In addition, renting sports equipment from the resort could cut down on carrying bulky baggage.
And Bill Cox of the Wolf Creek resort in Utah added: "On arrival, spend some time getting to know the environment. Nothing spoils your family's experience [more] than to get stressed out trying to find your way around the morning of your first day."
He explained that families should familiarise themselves with their meal options and that if they were travelling to higher elevations they should acclimatise themselves with the winter environment.
Another way to cut out the hassle may be to book cheap winter flights with budget airline Jet2.com.
Meanwhile, the resource also notes that Telluride resort's Tom Watkinson has suggested families get all duties such as checking-in done before they hit the slopes.
