Lanzarote shows off its beaches in style this July with the Spanish Kitesurf Championships. During the month Lanzarote will be playing host to the Spanish Kitesurf Championships.
The action is focussed on the Famara beach, Spain’s prime water sports location, where strong waves and clear waters make this beach famous amongst kitesurfers, windsurfers and surfers alike.
Kite surfers from all over Spain will descend upon the 6,000 metre long Famara beach to take part in freestyle, racing and wave competitions. What’s more, the winner will qualify to compete for the title of International Kiteboarding Association World Champion.
Learn to Kitesurf or Surf in Lanzarote
Taking part in the competition, there are professional kitesurfers racing at the top of their game, such as Cesar Portas, as well as local stars including Renaud Deguent and Silvano Martin.
