Holidaymakers looking to inject some culture into a break this summer might want to consider cheap flights to Crete because of the inaugural arts exhibition, “The ancient olive grove of Crete in the depth of time”.
Crete is celebrated as much for its cultural activities as it is for its beautiful beaches and excellent nightlife. This event is testament to the diverse thinking inspired by the arts that is found on Crete.
Find 317 Works of Art with Cheap Flights to Crete
This latest art exhibition opened on 25 July 2010 and will run until 31 August 2010. It is also free to the public so visitors will be able to schedule in a visit without affecting the holiday budget.
There will be a staggering 317 works of art on show at the exhibition including sculptures, paintings, mosaics and photographs. Many of these works of art will have been produced by local artists, but there is also an international feel to the work.
The exhibition is being held at the International Exhibition Centre of Crete at Gournes, near the city of Heraklion.
