This summer, visitors arriving on cheap flights to Paphos will be able to take in a performance of Giacomo Puccini’s La Boheme. The celebrated opera will take centre stage at the forthcoming Paphos Aphrodite Festival in September.
The Aphrodite Festival brings together a cultural feast for holidaymakers and locals to enjoy and La Boheme will be one of the stand-out attractions. The opera will be on for three days on 3, 4 and 5 September 2010.
An Enchanting Show and Location
Visitors to the festival will also be able to enjoy the performances in enchanting settings. Paphos’ medieval castle offers an eye-catching location for the cultural event, with the ancient landmark providing an apt backdrop for Puccini’s story of love, guilt and death.
The show brings a wealth of international performers together but it also welcomes some local Cypriot talent. Soprano Stella Georgiou and performer Kyriakos Sophocleous have joined the cast for this year’s performances.
The show is performed in Italian but there are supertitles in English and Cypriot for locals and visitors arriving on cheap flights to Paphos.
