Croatia is now thought to be one of the most fashionable countries to visit with numerous travel experts and journalists recommending it. The latest journalist to effuse about the charms of Croatia is Janice Law of the Daily News. She feels its diversity and wealth of things to do and see makes it the perfect place to enjoy a holiday.
Furthermore, in a recent Daily Mirror article for the travel section, it said that, “the staggering coastline now has a series of jewel-like hotels that provide style and good value in equal measure.”
Manmade and Natural Beauty
In her article, Ms Law highlights the areas of Split and Dubrovnik as particular resorts of interest. Focusing on the manmade beauty of Diocletian’s Palace in Split she suggests this area alone offers enough to keep you busy for hours.
With shops, restaurants and normal homes all corralled together in the old town walls and under the watchful gaze of the imposing palace, this area of Split is always popular with tourists arriving on cheap flights to Croatia.
Away from these popular resorts there is Plitvice Lakes National Parks, which Ms Law describes as a “sensory experience of water, sounds and fragrances from many plants,” with “wooden walkways or footbridges over 16 turquoise lakes linked by a series of waterfalls.”
