Mor Re-zine to Visit France this Winter

Over the past weekend an interesting article submitted to the Telegraph’s travel section has identified ten of the best ski resorts to visit this year. The article, written by Dave Watts and Chris Gill has looked at things like cost, number of pistes and seasonal popularity. Amongst their top ten is Morzine.

This will be great news for ski enthusiasts considering cheap flights to Chambery this winter. Morzine has got its popularity from the number of pistes available and shares many of these with another popular resort, Les Gets.

“Long-established chalet-style resort”

In their article, Mr. Gill and Mr. Watts claim that is popular because of its chalet-style and wooded slopes. They said:

“This long-established chalet-style resort has its own large area of wooded slopes shared with Les Gets. It also has swift access to higher Avoriaz on the main Portes du Soleil circuit linking Avoriaz to Châtel and Swiss resorts such as Morgans and Champéry. Altogether there are claimed to be 650km of mostly intermediate pistes.”

To complement the great ski, they have also identified a number of excellent restaurants that visitors may wish to visit when staying in Morzine.
