France and Austria aren’t the only places you can go for good ski this winter. Italy also offers some excellent ski resorts, notably Cervinia which has been recognised as the cheapest resort in the Post Offices’ Where to Ski Resort Report.

Getting to Cervinia couldn’t be easier too with cheap flights to Geneva, Salzburg and Chambery all available.

An ideal resort for beginners and intermediaries

Whilst Cervinia has been recognised as the cheapest ski resort in the Eurozone that certainly doesn’t reflect the wealth of slopes, restaurants and bars to discover at the resort.

Cervinia is recognised as an ideal resort for beginners and intermediaries, with plenty of soft snow covered slopes offering ample opportunity. It is also a great place for its après ski and there are many restaurants to discover in the pedestrianised centre.

To discover other resorts nearby, Zermatt is only a short drive across the Swiss border and offers more advanced slopes for the adventurous.

Ski and snowboard fans will also be encouraged to discover that the improving performance of the pound against the Euro means holidaymakers in the Eurozone can enjoy 8% more cash in their wallet.

So, when considering where to ski this winter, don’t overlook Italy as an option.
