Ski and snowboard enthusiasts taking cheap flights to Chambery or Geneva between January and March will be able to watch the Freeride World Tour.
Since its launch in 2008, the Freeride World Tour has grown in popularity and the 2010 version typifies this with the addition of two more resorts, taking the total to six.
The addition of St. Moritz in Switzerland is causing particular excitement. It joins the likes of Verbier and Chamonix as some of the leading venues for the next instalment of the Freeride World Tour.
Attracting Some Major Names
The events begin on 22 January 2011 in Chamonix before moving to St Moritz on 29 January 2011. It all finishes in Verbier on 19 March 2011 having taken in California along the way.
It is a great event to watch for ski and snowboard fans as some of the sports’ leading names have been seduced by its growing popularity. Some of the names attracted to the event in recent years include Olympic medalist Julia Mancuso, whilst the likes of 2010 winners Xavier de Le Rue (snowboard) and Candide Thovex (ski) should return this year.
Ski fans will be able to catch the event by taking cheap flights to Chambery or Geneva this Januray through to March.
