Ski and snowboarding in Serre Chevalier is set to get a boost this winter with a 10 million Euro investment to improve facilities. The main improvement will see a six person, high-speed chair added to the resort.
As well as the new chair, improvements to its snowmaking and avalanche control system are expected to be made. This will improve the skiing and snowboarding in one of France’s favourite winter resorts.
Challenging but Picturesque Terrain
The new six person chair will link the small village of Frejus to La Cucumelle and improve access to many of the great slopes available in Serre Chevallier. Cheap flights to Chambery for skiing and snowboarding in Serre Chevalier are popular every year because the National park (Encrins) is on its doorstep.
With 110 pistes there is skiing suited to all levels of ability and the wooded valley makes it a picturesque place to stay when skiing and snowboarding in France. This terrain has the added benefit of offering a competitive edge for experienced skiers and snowboarders looking for a challenge.
With such major investment expected, cheap flights to Chambery for Serre Chevalier are expected to be as popular as ever.
