One Foot of Snow at Chamonix Already!

It appears that the skiing season cannot come quickly enough in Chamonix as the popular French resort has a reported one foot of snow already.

According to the Guardian, the resort is already experiencing a downfall of snow that is preparing the area for the anticipated arrival of visitors on cheap flights to Chambery or Geneva for a break in Chamonix. The Guardian is quoted as saying:

“The word from our insider at Chamonix is that they already have a foot of snow - and the lifts haven't even opened yet, which we are taking as a good sign for the season ahead.”

This will be great news for eager ski and snowboarding fans who are preparing to arrive in Chamonix this winter on cheap flights to Geneva or Chambery.

The resort is amongst the best in the world for skiing and snowboarding and regularly attracts throngs of visitors. The range of slopes caters for all abilities and there are also numerous events and live performances available all year round.

This has helped to make Chamonix an appealing place to visit for all the family. However, it is the excellent snow that is the main attraction and with a foot already there, it promises to be a good winter.
