Tourism in Tenerife is set to get a major boost with a 3.64million Euro (£3.1million) investment designed to make the Canary Island more diverse.
Tenerife already enjoys a glowing reputation with many holidaymakers, attracting throngs of tourists each year. Its promise of glorious sunshine and beautiful soft sand beaches ensures that people return on cheap flights to Tenerife each year. However, the investment is designed to demonstrate that there is more to Tenerife than just the sun, sea and sand.
Creating a More Diverse Holiday Destination
Discovering the picturesque and dramatic landscape that Tenerife offers is another popular pastime but this investment will also offer festivals, culture, family fun, gastronomy, golf, luxury, nature, off the beaten track, spas and adventure.
One of the initial projects planned is to build a walkway from Arona to Adeje and introduce a bicycle route as the island attempts to go greener as well.
Arona and Adeje are two of the most popular areas of Tenerife and it is thought that a walkway will improve access and encourage people to enjoy a walk rather than relying on transport all the time.
With numerous developments planned it could soon be possible to get more from cheap flights to Tenerife.
