Nestled in the Courchevel region of Les Trois Valees, La Tania is a peaceful forest village originally called "La Tagna", which means "The Bear's Dwelling" in local dialect. It was a reference to the bears that lived in the Tarantaise forest up to the early 20th century.
Jet2.com currently offer cheap flights to Chambery and Geneva for ski breaks in La Tania.
Winter Sports
Benefiting from the presence of "Ecole du Ski Francias", the biggest ski school in France, there are plenty of slopes to ski on before returning exhausted to your chalet! La Tania boasts the three pistes that are classified by colors red, blue and green.
The blue slope is maintained by snow cannons to keep access open throughout the season, which means that the resort always thrives with beginners and advanced skiers!
Festive Events
Besides skiing there are many more events that will lure you out of your chalet. La Tania has a strong sense of community, and there are events throughout the year to demonstrate this.
During the month of March, the Forest Challenge will certainly entice the people who are concerned about nature. At the end of the ski season, the Annual Charity Day Party raises money for a variety of cancer charities in France and the United Kingdom, by holding games, contests and auction items. More than 100,000 Euros were raised for the Charity Day last year, turning it into a huge accomplishment and a credit to La Tania.
