For anyone considering cheap flights to Chambery, Geneva or Salzburg for some skiing this winter, check out the Jet2.com weather news.
Weather conditions in Tignes and Val D’Isere are set to remain the same for the next few days. With the temperature falling to freezing throughout the day, the pistes have become increasingly harder, making some slopes impossible to use.
However, a number are still in good condition, and can be used if you seek out the softest area. Some snow showers are also forecast for the coming weekend, meaning that conditions in the resorts should return to normal at the beginning of next week.
Ski Lift Offer in Meribel
Skiers in Meribel will want to look out for the offer that the resort’s lift company currently has on.
The offer gives visitors a chance to ski before the lift officially opens, giving you some time to enjoy the slopes in relative solitude, and also includes a breakfast at the top of the mountain.
The offer starts on February 15 and will finish at the end of March, but is subject to a limited amount of places, so booking now has been advised by the resort. You can book your passes at the Meribel Alpina liftpass office at the cost of €18 per person.
Verbier’s Navai Bar now has a Sushi day on every Sunday. The restaurant has a number of different Japanese dishes available that are well suited for people who are both familiar with the food and haven’t tried it before. Open from 7pm until 10pm, it’s a great way to end a week of skiing.
