Marbella Beaches Voted the Best

The beaches in the glamorous resort of Marbella have been voted the best in Spain. This follows research done by Oak Power Communications (OPC), who asked over 600 journalists from the international media for their thoughts on Spanish tourism.

Marbella has two long, sandy beaches that attract throngs of tourists each year, arriving on cheap flights from Jet2.com.

Beautiful Beaches and Streets

One of the features of the beaches is the Avenida del Mar promenade that runs along the back of them. This gives holidaymakers the ideal place to stroll in the sunshine after spending a relaxing time on the soft sand.

The quality and maintenance of the beaches was another factor that is likely to have affected its rating. Both are kept immaculately tidy and the facilities available are of a good standard. Maria Asenjo of OPC said:

“Journalists value Spain’s purely Spanish spirit, strength and passion, as well as the enormous improvement in infrastructures and the quality of services in the past years.”

Marbella also came third in the category of most trendy and fashionable city in Spain. This perhaps has something to do with the marina, beautiful whitewashed streets – adorned with designer boutiques, and the old town.
