Exhilarating Thrills for the Young at Heart

Of the Balearic Islands, it is Majorca and Ibiza that most people consider when planning a holiday but neighbouring Menorca offers just as much fun in the sun. Whilst established as a firm family favourite the island isn’t a natural choice for thrill seekers, something that the tourist board on the island are seeking to change.

During the end of February and through March, the island’s tourist board will be promoting the benefits of holidays and cheap flights to Menorca. This coincides with Jet2.com’s cheap flights sale.

An Island to Suit all Tastes

The campaign, titled “Menorca – Warm at Heart” will run until 14 March 2011 and will provide people, in a number of major cities, with a chance to sample a taste of Menorcan cuisine and culture.

Minister for Tourism, Lazaro Criado, said: “The holiday destination is already well known and popular with the family market but we also think the island offers a magical romantic setting for couples as well as exhilarating thrills for the adventurous or young at heart to experience.”

Set against a picturesque landscape, Menorca does indeed provide the perfect location for a romantic break and there are plenty of lively resorts to keep youngsters and party animals entertained.
