Barcelona is a hub for a host of different entertainment, arts and media events. Visitors to the Spanish city will never be left wanting for things to do or places to visit, and with cheap flights to Barcelona from Jet2.com currently on sale, March and April are a great time to take advantage of what the city has to offer.

We’re now entering the final few weeks of the Barna Sants Festival of Song. The event, which has been on since January, sees talented artists from all around the world performing in Barcelona’s Sants district.

Music to Cater to All Tastes

With a wide range of different genres, including rock, jazz, pop and blues, the festival is an intimate affair, with the shows played in small venues that allow for a good social atmosphere. Admittance varies from gig to gig but is generally quite cheap, making the festival’s final couple of weeks worthwhile for music fans.

To tie in with the Barna Sants Festival of Song is Tradicionàrius – another Catalan music festival that has an emphasis on folk music. As well as hosting a number of different concerts throughout the city, there will also be workshops on offer where attendees can learn to play folk and brush up on their knowledge of the genre.

Audiences can expect music dating as far back as the 17th Century and improvised sessions between talented artists. Like Barna Sants, the festival has been on for the past three months but ends in a couple of weeks.
