There are plenty of reasons to smile when in Croatia. However, a new Guinness World Record has given the locals an extra reason to display their pearly whites.
The country now holds the record for the biggest group smiley face. The attempt was made in the capital of Zagreb last weekend and saw 768 people don waterproofs of designated colours to complete the unusual feat.
Resplendent Scenery
Whilst this had the locals smiling, visitors to the country need little inspiration to be put in a good mood, especially when on holiday along the Dalmatia Coast. Here the sun is often shining, the towns look resplendent in full bloom and the scenery is inspiring.
None more so than on the island of Solta, a one hour ferry ride from Spilt. This is a great place for a family break if it is scenery and relaxation you want.
The little holiday destination is surrounded by trees, giving it a secluded, almost secretive atmosphere but whilst you lock out the rest of the world, you’ll be joined by plenty of people equally keen to enjoy a break in this picturesque part of the world.
It will certainly give you reason to smile, that and the offer of cheap flights to Split from Jet2.com.
