Its festival season and they don’t come much bigger than France’s annual Rock en Seine. The Rock en Seine has become one of Europe’s biggest music festivals and takes place in late August at the Saint Cloud Park just outside Paris.
Since it began in 2003 the festival has continued to grow in size and popularity, attracting some of the biggest pop and rock bands on the planet. It is perhaps famously known as the festival at which Oasis split up in 2009 after Liam and Noel Gallagher came to blows just before they were due to headline the main stage.
Even Bigger than Last Year
Controversy aside, this year’s event is set to be bigger and better than ever as the Foo Fighters take centre stage on Friday the 26th August. After taking two years off to work on individual projects the Foo Fighters are back in full swing with their brilliant new album ‘Wasting Light’.
Other bands set to perform at the festival include Arctic Monkeys, Biffy Clyro, My Chemical Romance, Deftones and The Kills.
The festival takes place over three days from Friday 26th August – Sunday 28th August. Anyone interested in buying tickets for the festival should do so early to avoid disappointment.
