It is festival season in the UK but how about combining a trip to the beautiful city of Prague with a visit to one of Europe’s biggest open-air music festivals?

The three-day Open Air Festival is back again this summer following its thrilling debut in 2010 when headline acts Kasabian and Faithless wowed an 18,000 strong audience. Organisers expect this year’s crowd to top the 20,000 mark with more top headline acts lined up.

Chemical Brothers to Headline

This year’s line-up will be headlined by British DJ legends, the Chemical Brothers who last performed in the Czech capital four years ago. Other popular acts joining them include Good Charlotte, Leftfield, Interpol and Czech bands such as 100°C and Krystof.

It’s not just about the music though; organisers are encouraging families and people of all ages to visit. There’s a dedicated children’s corner, stalls, rides and plenty of sporting events. Prague’s newest music festival is a great way to enjoy entertainment from a range of cultures.

The festival takes place between 11th and 13th August at the Panensky Tynec Airfield, situated on the outskirts of Prague. Local public transport to the festival is frequent and should take roughly 45 minutes, meaning festival goers arriving on cheap flights to Prague should easily be able to make their way to the event.
