Visitors to the beautiful Czech capital don’t necessarily have to splash the cash to have a good time. Prague offers plenty of options for the budget conscious, including these entirely free ways of enjoying the vibrant city.
Wallenstein Gardens
Tucked behind the Wallenstein Palace you’ll find these stunning 17th century gardens where you can relax and take in the wonderful views. The gardens are most noted for their fountains and statues of Greek gods.
Old Town Square
Capture the true flavour of historical Prague by wandering around the Old Town Square. Here you’ll find some of the city’s most famous buildings and seasonal markets as well as a wide variety of cafes and restaurants.
Astronomical Clock
This impressive ancient clock has been drawing crowds since the 15th Century. On the hour, every hour, from 8am to 8pm, the clock chimes and wooden puppets emerge from a trap door to entertain gathering crowds.
Charles Bridge
This eye-catching bridge spanning the Vltava River is a hive of activity with artists and musicians entertaining passers-by. Along the bridge you’ll find giant statues, one of which is said to bring luck to whoever touches it.
Prague Castle Grounds
Entry to the grounds is free but you have to buy a ticket to gain entry to the castle’s interior. The grounds are still worth visiting, especially if you are lucky enough to catch the changing of the guard.
