Pisa is of course famous for one thing but whilst the Leaning Tower is a marvel well worth visiting, there are many other reasons to visit the city. First of all the Leaning Tower isn’t the only one in the city. There is actually a second one.

Alas away from leaning towers there is a veritable network of museums to discover. Two of the most notable ones are Museo del Duomo (cathedral museum) and Museo delle Sinopie. Complementing these are Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Reale and the Museo Nationale di San Matteo.

Pisa also benefits from a favourable geographical position close to Sienna and Florence. Florence in particular attracts throngs of tourists every year for its cultural offering with the Ponte Vecchio Bridge a stand out attraction. For that reason it bares similarities to Pisa.
