Majorca seems to be the place to be at the moment. The popular Balearic Island has been attracting a who’s who of celebrities over the past few months with Denise Van Outen the latest to be snapped lapping up the sun.

It is at this time of the year when Majorca comes into its own. Whilst the temperatures drop slightly, the beaches aren’t as busy giving holidaymakers a chance to enjoy the sun with a bit of peace and quiet.

It is this reason why so many celebrities are attracted to the island; although it could also have something to do with the amazing scenery and things to do.

Of the Balearic Islands, many consider Majorca the most popular as it straddles the balance of hedonistic fun and sunshine relaxation. Busy resorts like Magaluf where youngsters go to party are quieter as the winter season creeps in but other resorts such as Palma, now a vibrant city break destination, benefit from the lack of crowds.

The capital is a beautiful city with a wealth attractions, both historic and modern, to discover. One of them is the Castle of Bellver spied from the harbour, which is a Moorish building. The harbour itself is a great place to unwind and many celebrities are known to moor their yachts there too.
