Location: 1 mile north of Pisa city centre
with Florence, Sienna and the whole of the surrounding Tuscan Region close
by.
The airport is within easy reach of Pisa, Genoa, Leghorn and Florence on
the A12 motorway and the Livorno-Pisa-Florence dual carriageway, with airport
access at the Pisa Centro exit, or the A11 motorway through Pisa Nord to link
with the A12 for the Pisa Centro exit.
Transport at Pisa is fantastic and allows easy and cheap access to the Tuscan
Region and beyond.
By Rail:
The railway station is next to the terminal and can be accessed via a covered
walkway. Services run to Lucca via Pisa Centrale. There are also trains to
Florence (Firenze SMN) via Pisa Centrale, Pontedera and Empoli; a service
also operates to Florence via Montecatini and Pistoia. Train tickets can be
purchased at the information office in the arrivals hall.
By Bus:
Bus no.3 stops at several places in the city centre. The service leaves from
just outside the Arrivals hall and from the ‘Cassa Parcheggi’
outside the Departures hall; look for the signs for ‘City Bus’.
By Taxi:
There is a good taxi service available from the arrivals area. Taxis operate from 8am until midnight.
