La Tania

An excellent choice for a family base, la Tania prides itself on its good-value and quiet family focused atmosphere. Although purpose built La Tania retains a pretty and attractive exterior, set amongst trees in an excellent location in the three valleys. read more

What makes La Tania special is that it has both the close links with the bigger resorts of Meribel and Courcheval combined with its own quaint village feel.

The slopes in the close vicinity to La Tania are of a good standard, particularly the long runs which are ideal for intermediates, and the beginners runs that are easily accessible from the village.

For children the options are great. The nursery run by Le Ski is well regarded, as is the kindergarten Maison des Enfants which will cater for non-skiing little ones. For children that ski, Jardin des Neiges will entertain them from the age of 4 upwards. Another plus point about La Tania is the availability of babysitters.

If you feel like a night out the choice of bars and restaurants is quite good. Le Ski Lodge is widely known particularly for the live music but it's by no means the only choice. For cocktails try the Taiga, or for something quiet look no further than L'Arbatt, which as the name suggests is French run.
