Soldeu enjoys reliable snow with the majority of the skiing lying above 2000m. Most slopes are north-facing and the resort has invested heavily in snowmaking. It's a great resort for beginners with numerous easy pistes to move on to. There's also a well equipped fun park and half pipe for snowboarders, which is easy to get to thanks to the introduction of a new 6-seater chairlift. The lift system is constantly being upgraded and there is a link to Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa making a vast ski area of over 150km of piste.

The Soldeu sector of the Grandvalira ski area occupies the valley that runs from Tossal de la Liosada to the Collada de Solanelles. It has such a wide choice of runs, that solitary descents are possible. The higher area is composed of wide, straight, open, sunny views over the resort whereas the lower area comprises of narrow, winding, fun runs through the forest.

These views provide a breathtaking snapshot of this picturesque pocket of Europe, whilst the lower areas are ideal for walks when you tire of skiing on a ski break.

 Skiing and Snowboarding for all Levels of Experience 

 Beginners have a piste for their first steps on the snow at Pla d'Espiolets next to the Ski and Snowboard School centre. For the more extreme, at the other end of the scale there's the Trenca l'Os black run below the 6-seater Solana del Forn lift. This is ideal for more advanced skiers on a skiing break in Soldeu and it also demonstrates the resorts flexibility.
