Söll has a superb location in the valley of the Hohe Salve and Wilder Kaiser mountains, giving excellent access to the whole of the Ski Welt; Austria's largest linked ski and snowboard area.

The village is compact and attractive with a traditional Austrian feel to it. The slopes are accessible with lifts and a free bus service from the village centre and allow access to over 250km of piste, catering for varying ability levels on a skiing break.

The majority of Söll’s slopes are north facing and the highest in the area meaning they keep their snow relatively well and you can usually ski both early and late into the season. What's more, Söll has invested heavily in snowmaking over recent years leading to an even more impressive snow reliability record throughout the season.

A new gondola has also improved access to the Kitzbuehel from Westendorf, another part of the Ski Welt.

This has encouraged throngs of tourists to return to Söll for their skiing breaks. The variety of slopes that are now available is another factor that is important for skiers.

Away from the slopes you'll find some excellent mountain and resort restaurants complimented by lively après ski and plenty of impressive nightlife, sure to keep you entertained during you ski break.

For the boarders out there, the resort boasts a great fun park and a half pipe. This is also ideal for snowboarders.

If you want to travel further afield during your ski weekend, check out the wider area of the Ski Welt which encompasses the resorts of Ellmau, Sheffau and Westendorf amongst others. Travelling between resorts is an enjoyable pastime on a skiing break and Söll is a great base to do that from.
