The resort of Avoriaz sits at 1800m and is one of the most enjoyable and visually impressive resorts of the vast Portes du Soleil area, which links France and Switzerland. The resort can be accessed in half an hour by car or bus from Morzine (14km) and there is also a gondola and two ski lifts linking Avoriaz from Morzine, as well as regular cable cars.

At the foot of the resort there is also a super-pipe, which has its own lift. Lift passes for those wanting to use the parks and pipe only are available.
