Flaine is recognised as one of the most family orientated ski resorts thanks to slopes to rival that of Tignes/Val d'Isére and a huge availability of self-catering accommodation.
The Forum area at the centre of the resort is traffic-free and there are a variety of play areas for children. All amenities are close by in the resort and Flaine is easily reached from either Geneva or Chambery airports. In fact it is just over an hour from Geneva and 1 hour 45 minutes from Chambery, meaning that you can hit the slopes sooner on your ski break.
Many of the properties in Flaine are ski-in ski-out or the closest lift is just a stone’s throw from your doorstep. The resort is divided onto three levels: Flaine Forum, Flaine Foret and Flaine Front de Neige; all are linked by lifts and accessible by foot.

Fantastic Snow and Impressive Ski Runs Make Flaine Ideal for a Ski or Snowboarding Break
The resort itself at 1600m, is noted for great snow and an impressive 265 kilometres of ski runs. Flaine is part of the Grand Massif area which also incorporates Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoens and Sixt ensuring there is a great variety of terrain - some of which is very challenging. The majority of runs however seem ideal for intermediates, with many running directly from the Flaine bowl itself. There is also a good selection of nursery slopes right next to the village ideal for beginners and plenty of terrain for advanced skiers.
Fantastic Snow Conditions for Weekend Ski or Snowboardings Break in Flaine
Major investment and expansion in recent years has improved the lifts at the resort. This has made getting the slopes easier for holidaymakers enjoying a ski break. The main part of Flaine's slopes lie on the wide north and north-west facing flank of the Grandes Platiéres and combined with the decent height assures Flaine's good snow reliability.
Fantastic Snowparks Ideal for Snowboarding Breaks
Flaine also suits boarders well, there are three terrain park options including one for children. The Jampark Kids of Morillon is a snowpark designed for future freestylers aged 5 to 12.
