Skiing & Snowboarding Short Breaks in Morzine, France
Morzine is a well established and popular year round resort, with a traditional alpine feel. It is situated very closely to Geneva and so travel to and from the resort is one of the easiest and quickest of any of the alpine destinations.

Forming part of the extensive Portes du Soleil circuit, the resort offers extensive mileage possibilities on snow, is popular with families, and in bad weather offers the shelter of tree-line skiing. During the summer the resort is extremely well suited to mountain-biking, hosting World-cup events, hiking and lots of other mountain-sports.
The main part of the resort is centred round the river and the Tourist Office, largely made up of chalet-style buildings. Numerous restaurants and bars may be found in the vicinity of Le Pleney lifts, which is also in the centre and is the main piste access point. There is a regular bus service and resort shuttles are offered by hotels and chalet operators.

Morzine is principally a family resort however it also offers one of the liveliest après-ski scenes of any French resort, with outdoor events in the evenings, plenty of bars and night-clubs, and some great restaurants.
As part of the Portes du Soleil there is plenty of choice to keep advanced skiers going and the area caters well for snow-boarders.

The area is excellent for beginner skiers and snowboarders - especially children, with high levels of tuition from the ski schools; and there is a good choice of cross-country skiing too.
