Activity Ideas for Non-Skiers in Serre Chevalier
There is a variety of recreational activities available. The picturesque village has a museum for those interested in the town's history and a weekly skiing fair is held, demonstrating the latest styles of stunts, skiing and gear, so well worth checking out. If you're looking to relax rather than testing the runs, Monêtier les Bains has heated spa baths, and the village of Villeneuve offers a host of beauty treatments.
The town of Biançon has a leisure complex and despite having little to offer the avid shopper is worth a visit all the same. All the main villages have an ice skating rink and a cinema. Villeneuve is the liveliest and most central village in the resort. It has it a modern centre with leisure facilities including a pool and horse riding, ice rink and crèche. Across the road and river is the more traditional La Salle area, with its stone houses, restaurants and bars. Parapenting and a flood-lit ice driving circuit are also available for the more adventurous.
